Got Old Inkjet Printer Cartridges?

Thanks to the University of Minnesota you can help keep printer cartridges out of landfills and the raptor center raise funds! Help spread the word about The Raptor Center's Recycling for Raptors program! Read below for details, I have handy self address and postage paid envelopes if you'd like one!

http://www.cvm.umn.edu/raptor/recycling/home.html
You’re invited to participate in The Raptor Center’s Recycling for Raptors program. Begun in 2003, this activity helps individuals and organizations recycle their inkjet printer cartridges while raising funds to support The Raptor Center.

With a population of 300 million people, the United States has more than 50 million inkjet printers, each using an average of four ink cartridges per year. Of the 200 million+ cartridges that are used, only about 30 percent are recycled, while 90 percent could be. This means that more than 500,000 units go to landfills every day! The Raptor Center, in its modest way, is trying to change this.

Why not join forces with The Raptor Center today and donate your cartridges?

Run a Race... Benefit a Charity

We all like getting outdoors during the few warm months we have here in Minnesota, right? So if you're looking for something that you can do for yourself and others, then look into local runs (or walks) for charity. Donate to a friend doing one, or do one yourself!

My friend is doing the breast cancer three day:

Walkers 4 Knockers
http://www.the3day.org/site/TR/2010/TwinCitiesEvent2010?team_id=112560&pg=team&fr_id=1473

You can get into something as intense as Susan G. Komen's Breast Cancer 3 Day where you commit to raising large sums of money and to walking 60 miles in just three days or as simple as the Lymphoma 5K with a donation of $25.

Check in with your hometown, a favorite charity or me for more info!
